A SPECIAL ONE-OFF COLLABORATION: VERSUS VERSACE AND K-WAY

In a special one-off collaboration, VERSUS VERSACE and K-WAY have created the perfect zip-up jacket, as well as in iPad case, full of attitude and style, which will be available from July 10th at versusversace.com, and in selected stores worldwide.

This one-off collaboration with K-WAY is the part of the new world of VERSUS VERSACE, in which special collaborations and guest designer capsule collections sit alongside the seasonless VERSUS VERSACE range. The worldwide flagship can be found at versusversace.com, the online home where the new global VERSUS VERSACE tribe connects and shares exclusive content.

The historic, packable K-WAY reversible jacket has been given the VERSUS VERSACE touch, covered on one side in a black-and-white optical print from the new VERSUS VERSACE collection, in windproof light polyester. The reverse side is black, made from waterproof, windproof and breathable Nylon Plus with heat-sealed seams.
There is a full zip opening with protective flap and an adjustable fixed hood with anti-drop binding. The VERSUS VERSACE and K-WAY logos appear on both sides of the jacket.

“I love the VERSUS VERSACE and K-WAY collaboration, because VERSUS VERSACE lives on the street. The jacket and iPad case are an amazing new way to get the VERSUS VERSACE look, and to bring attitude and energy to everyday essentials,” says Donatella Versace.

"The K-Way collaboration with Versus Versace is an honour for us. It was a very stimulating experience both intellectually and creatively. I think that together we managed to combine the authenticity and power of two great prestigious Italian brands with style, " says Marco Boglione, President of BasicNet, the Company owner of the brand K-Way.

Jennifer Lopez’s housekeeper has a lot of fun with ‘that’ Versace dress

The infamous slashed-to-the-navel Versace dress worn by Jennifer Lopez is enjoying a new lease of life inside the singer's spa.

Actress and singer Jennifer Lopez has garnered a diva-like reputation along her road to global fame (endless reports of dressing room demands are always doing the rounds) but it appears the star still has both her sense of humour - and normality - intact.

Starring on the new February cover of Harper's Bazaar USA as a Paco Rabanne-clad Grecian goddess, J.Lo reveals how she makes her life "beautiful" even when she's hectically carting her family around on her world tour.

"I like the whole idea of traveling, of looking good, and doing it well," she says. "I make it as simple and as beautiful as I can because my life is kind of big. So I pack my luggage, or dress myself, or comb my kids' hair, pick up their clothes-that makes our life beautiful, you know? There's something very elegant in that." If we take Lopez at her word, it seems us civilians lead equally beautiful and elegant lives, too, however the similarities end when Lopez touches on her in-house spa… and its contents.

YSL to change its Name, dropping the 'Yves'

Yves Saint Laurent's new creative director Hedi Slimane will rebrand the iconic fashion house as Saint Laurent Paris.

Yves Saint Laurent will drop the 'Yves' from their name, the brand has confirmed.

Newly-appointed creative director Hedi Slimane is keen to "thrust Saint Laurent into a new era modern", reports WWD , and thinks removing the founder of the brand's first name from the famous moniker is the way forward.

The house will be rebranded Saint Laurent Paris, although the iconic YSL logo will remain the same. The move is not be an entirely new one, the majority of the major fashion houses go by a singular surname - Versace, Gucci, Chanel, Prada.

When appointed, Slimane - the former creative director of Dior Homme - was given "total creative responsibility for the brand image and all its collections" and is said to be focusing on "recapturing the impulses that inspired the founder to launch the Saint Laurent Rive Gauche ready-to-wear line in 1966 - among them youth, freedom and modernity."

Slimane, who is also working on a new store concept for the brand, will show his debut womenswear collection during Paris Fashion Week this September, and the new branding is reportedly set to be unveiled shortly beforehand.

As yet, Yves Saint Laurent have not released an official statement regarding the change, while Pierre Berge, Saint Lauren't lover and business partner of 50 years, is yet to comment.

Despite the change we think it's unlikely that fashion's most famous acronym will ever disappear.
