Net-A-Porter relaunch online magazine

Luxury online shopping destination Net-A-Porter has relaunched its weekly online magazine, 'The Edit', and announced further plans for a print publication.

Following last December's news that luxury online shopping destination Net-A-Porter is planning to launch a print magazine, the site will today relaunch its weekly editorial online offering, The Edit , under the direction of editor-in-chief Lucy Yeomans, the former editor of Harper's Bazaar .

The new The Edit is phase one of the site's print and magazine project, headed by Yeomans, which aims to produce editorial content to rival that of publications such as Vogue , Harper's Bazaar and Elle . The free weekly 30-page online magazine will feature fashion shoots, news, features and interviews and will replace the site's current e-magazine offerings.

Of The Edit , the debut issue of which is covered by Natalia Vodianova, Yeomans says she wanted to create a worldwide publication "for and about women with great style and great stories."
The Edit will be followed by an as-yet-unnamed 300-page quarterly print publication slated to be unveiled later this year. It will offer a more "in-depth experience", incorporating stories on politics, culture and art with fashion editorials and features.

"We have an extraordinary customer base and we have to make sure we are looking after their needs, and that means bringing in the best of everything out there," Yeomans told WWD . "And I do think there is a place for a new global magazine, a slice of international culture and style."

Net-A-Porter to Launch Print Magazine

Luxury online shopping destination Net-A-Porter will launch a newsstand publication within the next 12 months.

Speaking at a conference last week, CEO Mark Sebba revealed the news, saying: "It isn't a secret that Net-a-Porter will be publishing a major fashion magazine within the next 12 months or so", noting that the company still sees print as important.

The site already has a weekly digital magazine which is viewable online and through their iPad app. Last year it ventured into print for the first time when a limited number of copies of its spring/summer 2011 magazine, featuring Alexa Chung on the cover, was sent out to corporate clients.

Although Sebba reportedly let that cat out of the bag too soon, industry sources have confirmed to WWD that a magazine is indeed in the works, although months away from any official plans being actioned.

Victoria Beckham Successful Hand Bag Line

Victoria Beckham a woman whose conquered all has released her 'already sell out' HandBags on Net-A-Porter
As much as we'd like to credit Victoria for her handbag designs, she doesn't do it alone Designer Katie Hillier is her sidekick. It's all about team work, Victoria showing ideas and Katie designing around them.

The Telegraph quoted Katie saying "SHE designs the bags. At the start of the season Victoria gives me a huge folder full of all the stuff she's seen that she likes, and we work through it together".

Victoria is very hands on all her designs, the fabrics used, the colours, nothing passes her. Well with her clothes and years of investing in designer wear she could do it blindfolded.

"Victoria will lick her finger and wipe it on the cloth and be like 'Uh-oh, I can see what's going to happen to that in the rain!." Telegraph quoting Katie.

Promoting her collection Victoria has been seen holding her bags for several months and the bags have been a success, but I wonder where will all her Hermes bags go!

Christmas come Early!!!
