Carrying a dog in your handbag is cool again. Honestly. Not the runty-looking rat-dogs of the Paris Hilton days of yore, though: this time, we're talking mutts with a bit of heft. Well, Harvey Nichols is.
The store's new spring campaign, called "The New Breed" (ho ho, very clever) features three sizeable hounds being toted in fancy handbags: Spud, the British bulldog, is poking out of a yellow 3.1 Phillip Lim; Pepper, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, looks stoically on in his green Marc by Marc Jacobs; and Dozer, an English Bull Terrier, peers from a blue Sophie Hulme.
