Balmain Fashion house has annouced the replacement to Designer Christophe Decarnin who recently left, French designer Olivier Rousteing.
It has been confirmed that Rousteing will supervise the design and development of the brand's men's and women's ready-to-wear collections, and from 2009 Rousteing had been in charge of the womenswear studio.

Olivier Rousteing studied Fashion at ESMOD University in Paris in 2003 and spent 5 years working at Roberto Cavalli, where he designed men and womens clothing
This coming October Rousteing will debut at Paris Fashion Week with Balmain's spring/summer 2012 collection. He told WWD how he wanted to ensure that the label, which was founded by Pierre Balmain in 1945, "always remains one of the leading brands that others look to as a reference".
I wonder if Rousteing will continue the look Decarnin bought to Balmain 'Rock Chic'. Wish him all the best and Can Not Wait to see the creations he brings to the Runway
