Let me introduce you to Mara:
New Hair accessory designer Mara Mostafa, didn’t plan on this new little rollercoaster ride. She believes everything happens for a reason and takes grasps on any thread of creativity she can find anywhere. After designing a hair band for herself that she wore at a friend’s baby shower the phone kept ringing the following week asking where she got it from. And as they say the rest is history. With her mother from the UK and father from the UAE, Mara grew up and studied in Dubai. Now married with two children and living in Bahrain creativity has always been a part of her life, having an architect father and a mother who owns her own successful flower company. It was only natural that creativity would flow down to her and her 3 siblings. Mara’s brother Ali Mostafa is a film director who just released the first UAE feature film “CITY OF LIFE”. Mara studied business at University which made her feel like a fish out of water. Mara has been dabbling on different design ideas over ten years and each time it the product was very different. Mara has a strong love for fashion, design, graffiti Art, photography, flea markets, “vintage” stores (of the real kind) and the list goes on and on. Her designs are eclectic with a twist of modern and vintage inspired and of course her main ingredient LOVE
